Rustem Khamitov met with participants of "Human Capital Development as Modernization Factor of Russia" conference

On November 19, at the House of the Republic the Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov met with the President of the Russian Society of Sociologists, Professor Valery Mansurov, Director of the Institute of Demography of the Higher School of Economics, Professor Anatoly Vishnevsky and Professor of Environmental Economics of Economics Faculty of Moscow State University Sergei Bobylev, who take part in the All-Russian research and practice conference "Human Capital Development as Modernization Factor of Russia and its Regions" held in Ufa.

During the meeting they discussed issues of strengthening cooperation between the research organizations and the region, as well as the role of science in formation of effective social and demographic policy.

“We believe that we will have long-term cooperation with you, dear colleagues. We are ready to discuss the forms of this cooperation - contractual, companionable, advisory”, Rustem Khamitov said.

“The idea was that we should increase the nationwide ranking of Bashkortostan,” Anatoly Vishnevsky told reporters about the outcome of the meeting. “Modernization of Bashkortostan can and should be associated with urbanization. And it is also not easy, because it requires technology and increasing productivity. But this should be done.”
