Bashkortostan forecasters warn of a sharp deterioration in weather conditions

UFA, 20 November 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Gulfiya Akulova/. On November 21, in Bashkiria a sharp deterioration in weather conditions is expected.

According to weather forecasts of the republican Agency for Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring, on November 21, snow, blizzard with wind gusts to 17-22 m/s, snow drifts on the roads, reduced visibility to 500-1000 m are predicted. The air temperature at night will be -9, -14 degrees Celsius, in the south-east to -18, -23 degrees, during the day -1, -6, in the south-east to -11 degrees.

In the period from November 22 to 24 in the region snow and sleet are expected, turning to widely scatted icy rain. On the roads there will be ice-slick, wet snow build-up on wires and trees. By the end of the period the temperature is going to rise to 0, +5 degrees with snow thawing.

The Ufa "Rescue 112" service calls on pedestrians and motorists to be more careful: avoid getting close to power lines, trees, billboards, be careful crossing the streets and roadways. Drivers should observe the speed limit and use caution while moving around the city. Also, motorists should not park their cars under the trees, especially in the building surrounding areas.
