3rd International Urban Development Forum UrbanBairam began in Ufa

UFA, 19 November 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Ksenia Kalinina/. The Ufa "VDNkH-Expo" hosts the 3rd International Urban Development Forum UrbanBairam. The event program is designed for three days - from November 19 to 21.

Today, on November 19, a plenary session will focus on the development of the city in terms of economy, human resources, space and urban environment, which will form the basis of Ufa Development Strategy till 2030. The city administration set an ambitious task - to develop a strategy independently, involving business, civil society organizations and active citizens. Throughout the day eight thematic round tables will be carried out on the search for mechanisms of economic development of the region and the city, housing policy, innovations in social sphere.

On the second day, November20, the International Summit of Mayors of the world and Russia will take place. The main topic of the Summit will be transport and mobility of citizens.

On Saturday, November 21, the Festival of Regions will open its doors for all Ufa residents and guests. There will be an exhibition "Regions of Ufa. Reboot" and a photo project "Faces of Ufa". The international restaurant day, lectures on urban planning, design- games, workshops, a new format of presentation РechaКucha Night will be held.

The "UrbanBairam" is the largest regional platform to discuss issues of urban development. The main task is to start a dialogue between the citizens and the city administration, to discuss problems and important moments that influence the development of the city, to show the culture and identity of different regions of Ufa. The forum was organized with the support of the city administration and the Development Fund for Urban Projects.
