Bashkir Smart Grid project was presented at the International Exhibition "European Utility Week-2015"

The Smart Grid implementation project on the example of Ufa was presented at the International Exhibition "European Utility Week-2015" held in Vienna (Austria). This was reported by the press centre of the Bashkir Electric Grid Company.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of JSC "BESK", CEO of JSC "SITRONICS KASU" Andrey Makarov, the chief of project management department of LLC "BESK Engineering" (subsidiary of JSC "BESK") Igor Krutous delivered reports at the conference. They shared their experience in the modernization of the electric grid of Ufa with Smart Grid elements. The report aroused great interest of Western colleagues, since such an ambitious project in short terms was realized for the first time in Russia and the CIS countries.

Participants discussed the current developments in the field of Smart Grid arrangement, Smart Metering, cybersecurity, energy saving systems, and further opportunities for the development of business models in the European energy companies.

The "European Utility Week" is the largest venue in Europe in the area of modern solutions in energy sector. It is dedicated to smart grids, integration of distributed generation, smart buildings. This year it was attended by some 400 heads of leading energy companies and more than 10,000 professionals from around the world.
