Rustem Khamitov has held a meeting on wages arrears

On November 2, at the House of Republic the Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov held a meeting of the permanent coordination meeting of law enforcement in the region dedicated to the priority measures for elimination of arrears in wages. It was attended by members of the Government RB, heads of ministries and departments, heads of municipalities.

“Some enterprises, some members of the business community continue worthless, vicious, criminal practice of late payment of salaries under various pretexts, sometimes far-fetched,” Rustem Khamitov said. “I think that every such fact shall be a subject of separate proceedings. Those responsible must be punished.”

The Head of the Region said that to date, arrears in wages, according to various estimates vary from 150 to 200 million rubles in Bashkortostan.

The Head of the State Labour Inspectorate in the Republic of Bashkortostan Tatiana Astrelina reported that according to current data as of October 1, 2015 backdated wages amounted to about 200 million rubles. The largest amount of arrears is distributed between the cities of Ufa and Octyabrsky, as well as Tuymazy region. Tatiana Astrelina proposed to strengthen inter-agency cooperation to address effectively elimination of arrears, as well as to create an insurance mechanism of wages non-payment risk by employers.
