Ufa fountains are closed for the winter

UFA, 8 October 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Elmira Sabirova/. Ufa fountains completed the summer season and now will be closed until next summer. In the near future the specialists of public services will carry out works on conservation and communications equipment for the winter.

As the press service of the city administration informs, disabling of fountains is made two weeks before the scheduled date due to a sharp deterioration in weather conditions and establishment of low-temperatures.

There are 17 fountains on the maintenance of urban services. The total area of bowls of water is about 2.5 thousand cubic metres. This year in Ufa two modern light and vocal fountains were commissioned: «Seven Girls» in the "Theatre" Public Garden created basing on the Bashkir folk legend and renovated fountain in the square named after S. Ordzhonikidze in front of the Youth Palace USPTU, being one of the oldest fountains in Ufa. In 2016, it will be 60 years since its launch.
