Ufa International Marathon 2015 was held in the capital of Bashkortostan

UFA, 28 September 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Dmitry Slezin/. The capital of Bashkortostan hosted the Ufa International Marathon. It was attended by several thousand people from Ufa, Yekaterinburg, Kazan, Orenburg, Chelyabinsk, St. Petersburg, as well as from China, Ukraine, Belarus and the USA.

According to the press service of the administration of the capital, in addition to the classic marathon distance of 42 km 195 m, the races at a distance of 10 km and 4.2 km took place. The total prize pool was more than 200 thousand rubles.

The first place in the main marathon was won by the world-class athlete Eduard Tuhvatullin, who overcame the distance in 2 hours 28 minutes.

Among the participants of the marathon there was the television journalist and TV presenter Alexander Lyubimov, the deputy of the State Assembly RB Rustem Ahmadinurov, the three-time biathlon world champion, Olympic bronze medalist 2010 in Vancouver, Honoured Master of Sports of Russia Maxim Chudov, the honoured master of bobsleigh sports Alexey Seliverstov.
