Ufa residents are invited at Science Slam

UFA, 23 September 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Elmira Sabirova/. Ufa residents are invited at a Science Slam, which will be held in Ufa in the entertainment complex "Ogni Ufy" on Sunday, the 27th of September. It will take place in the framework of the All-Russian Science Festival. Seven young scientists will present their performances, where they will clearly and simply tell about their research. They will represent a variety of scientific fields: physics, political science, neurophysiology, engineering, botanics, social psychology, biotechnology, according to the website of the Festival of Science RB.

According to organizers, the main purpose of the event is to show that science can be exciting and entertaining while not losing its value.

For example, a part-time lecturer and a student of the Law Institute of Bashkir State University majoring in state law Maxim Vdovin in his speech will talk about a crisis of a modern human and the ways to overcome it.

Another participant, the graduate of the department of morphology and physiology of humans and animals of Bashkir State University Mars Galautdinov develops applications for smart phones with which you can self-diagnose your vision acuity.

The winner will be determined by a sound level metered according to the applause of the guests.

The Science Slam is a new format of intellectual leisure, which came to our country from Germany. Young scientists in the form of a 10-minute stand up talk about their research. Each stand up must be interesting, clear and witty. In Ufa, a similar event will be held for the second time.
