Ufa International Marathon winner will receive 42 thousand rubles

UFA, 22 September 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Dmitry Slezin/. On Sunday, September 27 the capital of Bashkortostan will host the Ufa International Marathon (UIM). The sporting event including the "Cross of Nations 2015" will begin at eight o'clock in the morning and will last up to 15.00. At this time central streets of the city will be blocked.

As it was reported at a press conference in the City Hall, about three million rubles were spent for UIM. The prize pool is more than 190 thousand rubles. Two distances have prizes, and the registration fee for them is from 1000 to 1500 rubles, up to 2100 rubles for latecomers (deadline 26.09.2015).

The winner of the true marathon race (42 km) will receive 42 thousand rubles, both for men and women. The second place is estimated at 20 thousand rubles, the third – at 10 thousand rubles. In addition, the champion will receive the gold medal.

The 20km marathon provides the silver medal for the winner. Here the podium prizes are as follows: 1st place - 10 thousand, the second 7500, third - five thousand rubles.

It is expected that celebrities will attend UIM such as the Russian journalist and TV presenter Alexander Lyubimov, the Russian biathlete, Olympic medalist Maxim Chudov, another famous representative of Bashkortostan - medalist bobsledder Aleksey Seliverstov, hockey star and politician Alexander Semak. The organizers promised participation of FC Ufa representatives in the marathon.

At this point more than 700 people from 15 regions declared their participation in the "paid" program. The representatives of Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Belarus and even the United States will also take part in the international race.

The UIM novelty is electronic chips embedded to the number of the runner to inform about the physical state of the participant.
