Strategic military exercises "Centre-2015" completed in Bashkortostan

On September 16, in Ufa, the Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov delivered a report at a meeting dedicated to the end of the strategic command-staff exercises "Centre-2015", which have been taking place at the Central Military District since September 7.

“The exercises have shown that the Republic of Bashkortostan is ready to conduct mobilization measures. In addition, all structures involved in the exercises, demonstrated military skills, the ability to operate smoothly and act as prescribed by the relevant documents,” said the Head of the Region. “At the same time, these drills have identified a number of shortcomings, on which we need to work - and in terms of logistics and organizational preparation, and in formalization of a number of actions that we have undertaken. We will draw the appropriate conclusions from the past exercises.”

The General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces gave a high appraisal of the preparations, interaction with executive bodies and local self-government and activities during the exercises "Centre-2015" in the territory of Bashkortostan.

The Head of the Republic thanked the participants of the drills for their joint efforts, and handed a letter of gratitude to Major of the reserve Eugene Schemelinin.
