"Gutenberg’s Lounge" will be open at Academy of Sciences on the eve of Science Festival in Ufa

UFA, 16 September 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Elmira Sabirova/.On the eve of the Festival of Science in Ufa at the Academy of Sciences RB (15, Kirov Street) the new for the capital of the republic educational project - "Gutenberg’s Lounge" will be launched. As the head of the Ufa branch Sergey Ivanov informs, lectures as part of the nationwide project are already held in many cities of Russia - Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan, Rostov-on-Don, Kaluga, Omsk, Astrakhan, Vladivostok, Kurgan and Novosibirsk.

The "Gutenberg’s Lounge" is a popular science project, which brings together people interested in science and beyond. All lectures are presented in clear common language. Themes can be very different. During one lecture the audience listens to three stories. The duration of each lecture is 30 minutes, then for 10 minutes lecturers answer questions, said Sergey Ivanov.

In Ufa, the lecture will be held on Thursday, September 17 - the entry is free. Everyone who came to the event will listen to Maxim Vdovin’s story about the history of the hippie movement; Anna Vahmyanina will share with mysteries of neuroscience, and Sergey Ivanov will speak about nuclear power and how uranium ore is converted into kilowatt-hours.

Organizers invite young people aged 16 to 30 years.

Starting is at 19 o'clock in the conference hall of the Academy of Sciences RB.
