"Bring your Child to the Sports" Festival brought together more than 7,000 participants in Ufa

UFA, 14 September 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Arina Rakhimkulova/. In Ufa on Sunday a big festival "Bring your Child to the Sports" was held. In Lenin Square more than 7,000 children and their parents gathered who were able to enjoy the atmosphere of cheerful holiday and spend time with benefits - to enroll in the sports club of interest. The solemn opening ceremony was attended by four-time champion of the Paralympic Winter Games 2010 in Vancouver Irek Zaripov and the Chairman of the Committee for Physical Culture and Sports of Ufa Sergey Stepanov. The guest of honour of the festival was the three-time world champion, Olympic bronze medalist 2010 in Vancouver Maxim Chudov.

According to the press service of the Young Guard, a total of 55 sports schools, federations and clubs enrolled their future champions. As part of the sports celebrations presentations of leading sportsmen of the republic and thematic workshops were held.

The "Bring your Child to the Sports" Festival has been successfully implemented since 2013. In general, in Bashkortostan the event attracted more than 20 thousand children. In 2015, the festival takes place in all regions and cities of the republic from August 28 to September 15.
