Rustem Khamitov met with Deputy Chief of General Staff of Armed Forces RF Vasily Tonkoshkurov

On September 9, at the House of the Republic the Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov met with the Chief of the Main Organization and Mobilization Directorate - Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, Lieutenant-General Vasily Tonkoshkurov.

The sides discussed the progress of strategic exercises "Centre-2015" in the territory of Bashkortostan, which began in the Central Military District on September 7.

“We have been carrying training for three days already. All tasks are received. Everything goes according to the plan. I personally enter into all the stages of work”, said Rustem Khamitov.

Vasily Tonkoshkurov expressed gratitude on behalf of the Chief of Staff to Rustem Khamitov for his personal heading the drill activities.

“The biggest challenge to date is to enhance the role of heads of subjects of the Russian Federation, primarily in the organization of cooperation with those institutions and bodies which are involved during the wartime and the period of threat. Currently, according to the preliminary report I would like to express gratitude to you,” said Lieutenant-General.

The Head of the Republic stressed that special attention should be paid to people who are involved in the maneuvers.
