524 thousand illnesses were recorded in Bashkortostan in 2015

UFA, 9 September 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Gulfiya Akulova/. 524 000 illnesses were recorded in 2015 in Bashkortostan. There was a decrease tendency in incidence of acute intestinal infections, salmonella, dysentery, hepatitis and viral hepatitis A. The number of cases of measles, hemorraghic fever, influenza and acute respiratory disease increased. Territorial incidence rates for seven months of this year were reported by the Rospotrebnadzor (Russian Federal Consumer Rights Protection and Human Health Control Service) in the Republic of Bashkortostan at the press conference in Ufa.

9603 people suffered acute intestinal infections, 529 - human salmonellosis, 107 -dysentery, 1227 -hepatitis, 45 - viral hepatitis A. 20 people caught measles against two cases last year. The hemorraghic fever cases increased by 27% - 912 cases of infection were recorded in the republic. Unusual for the region dengue fever again occurred this year. For the first time in 2013 it was brought by an inhabitant of Salavat from India. This year, five Ufa residents, including children, were infected by it after their visit of Thailand. "In this case, the fever was diagnosed in a timely manner and there are no conditions for its spread in the republic now", said the head of Rospotrebnadzor in the Republic of Bashkortostan Eugeny Stepanov.

There were 36 cases of tick-borne encephalitis this year, the figure is at the same level as last year - 37 cases. 8435 people addressed to the hospitals of the region with bites of ticks, almost 16 percent less than in 2014. Infection of ticks was within 5.5%. In the seven months of this year, more than 468,000 people came down with the influenza and acute respiratory disease, the last-year figure was about 7% lower. Complications from the flu in the form of community-acquired pneumonia were received by more than 8.5 thousand people.

Epidemiologists again pay attention of people on necessity to apply vaccination against various infections.
