Mikhail Babich and Rustem Khamitov congratulated pupils of Bashkir Cadet Corps with the Knowledge Day

UFA, 2 September 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Iliya Spiridonov/. On September 1, in Ishimbay the Plenipotentiary Envoy of the President of the Russian Federation to the Volga Federal District Mikhail Babich and the Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov visited Bashkir Cadet Corps of the Volga Federal District named after the Hero of Russia A. Dostavalov where congratulated the pupils on the Day of Knowledge. As part of the celebrations a new dormitory, multifunctional sports and recreation centre and an airborne centre were opened.
Welcoming the cadets during the celebratory assembly, Mikhail Babich said that in the coming year all works planned for construction of new and reconstruction of existing facilities must be fully completed in the Cadet Corps.
The Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov wished the pupils do well in studies. He said that the leadership of the republic together with the Plenipotentiary Envoy of the Russian President to the Volga Federal District would make every effort to develop the infrastructure and improve the quality of education in their institution.
At the celebratory assembly the cadets demonstrated skills that they acquired during the studies: martial arts and marching drill and presented creative performances.
After the completion of the official part Mikhail Babich and Rustem Khamitov visited the new facilities of the Cadet Corps. The director of modern dormitory Valery Lejeune spoke about qualitatively new conditions where the cadets are now living. Construction of the new building began in December 2014; 185 million rubles were allocated for the construction from the budget of Bashkortostan.
A special pride of the Bashkir Cadet Corps is now a specialized airborne centre for land-based parachute training as part of the school program "Young Paratrooper".
After that the Envoy of the Russian President to the Volga Federal District and the Head of the Republic visited the modern multifunctional sports and recreation complex "Batyr", which was built within the district project "Kadetstvo". More than 158 million rubles were allocated to finance the construction of the facility from the federal and regional budgets. The complex can accommodate 120 people per hour. On the ground floor there is a sports hall and a 25-m pool with five lanes. On the first floor there is a hall with cardiovascular equipment and weights, as well as a gym. The sports complex will be open to all residents of Ishimbay and Ishimbay region.
It is planned that in 2016 a new multi-purpose sports arena will be built, as well as an overhaul of school buildings, dormitories and dining room will be made at the Bashkir Cadet Corps.
Mikhail Babich told reporters that the number of military schools in the district may be increased.
Currently, in the district there are four Cadet Corps: in Bashkortostan, Tatarstan, Udmurtia and Perm. More than 1100 teenagers study there on comprehensive and military-patriotic and sports programs.
