Family from Dyurtyuli found giant puffballs in the forest

UFA, 26 August 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Gulfiya Akulova/. A family from Dyurtyuli near their hometown found giant puffballs, the Bashkir republican organization of All-Russian Society for the Disabled reports.

Happy mushroom pickers staged a photo shoot and decided to make preparations for the winter so that they could treat with this miracle as many their friends as possible.

The experienced mushroom pickers advise to go into the woods at dawn to find such mushrooms. Giant puffball or Calvatia gigantea loves meadows, wastelands, pastures, gardens, is often found on the hills. The mushroom grows singly or in small groups. In form it resembles a soccer ball; sometimes its weight reaches more than 10 kilograms. Due to delicate white flesh these giant mushrooms are considered to be among the most delicious smokeballs. But, as experts remind, it should not be forgotten that among the large number of edible mushrooms there are poisonous ones.
