"Operation Smile" will help children with congenital abnormalities in Bashkiria

In Bashkortostan within the framework of the "Operation" Smile -2015" charity campaign more than 50 children with cleft lip and palate will have surgeries. The meeting of the organizing committee on preparation and realization of the project was held in the Government RB by the First Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Science, Education and Culture Liliya Gumerova.

The charity event is carried out in Bashkortostan for the second time. This year Ufa hosts the anniversary - the twentieth stage of the project. As Liliya Gumerova noted, the main purpose of the last-year campaign was achieved - for more than fifty children were successfully operated.

Implementation of "Operation" Smile "in Ufa is scheduled from August 30 to September 5. This year, experts of maxillofacial surgery will operate more than 50 children with cleft lip and palate and will hold necessary consultations. Also as part of the campaign a research and practice conference with participation of the best surgeons from the USA, RSA, the Philippines, Estonia and Russian cities will be held.
