UFA, 18 August 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Gulfiya Akulova/. About 12 thousand young Ufa residents will for the first time go to school this year. Total more than 101 thousand schoolchildren will begin the new academic year in Ufa on September 1. Readiness of schools and other educational institutions for the academic year was discussed at the working meeting in the city administration today, August 18.

As the head of the City Education Department Elena Haffazova reports, to date 211 educational institutions are considered ready for the new school year. The city has 230 municipal kindergartens, 130 institutions of general education, 46 institutions of additional education. Repair works were carried out this year in 95 organizations. It is planned to complete them until August 25. Roof repairs, replacement of window units, heating systems, water supply and sanitation, insulation of facades, repairs of boilers are conducted. For the new academic year 269 outdoor sports grounds are prepared. It is supposed to install 10 sports facilities.
