Disabled were granted new special-purpose vehicles in Bashkortostan

UFA, 12 August 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Gulfiya Akulova/. In Bashkortostan people with disabilities were presented new special-purpose vehicles. Another nine people of the republic received new hand-operated cars «Lada Granta» free of charge. All of them at different times received occupational traumas and were seriously injured. Ceremonial presentation of a package of documents to future drivers was held on August 11, in the building of the regional branch of the Social Insurance Fund of Russia in the Republic of Bashkortostan.

According to the regional office of the Fund since 2001 about 900 cars of more than 100 million rubles were transferred to the ownership of employees suffered from occupational traumas. In addition, the Fund annually provides trips to sanatoriums, allocates funds for manufacture and repair of prosthetic and orthopaedic appliances, acquisition of technical means for rehabilitation. Payments by means of compulsory social insurance against industrial accidents and occupational diseases are received by more than nine thousand inhabitants of the republic. This year, the total cost of the rehabilitation of the injured will amount to more than 184 million rubles.
