Bashkortostan Government signed an agreement with Jiangsu Province of China

UFA, 10 August 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Arthur Basyrov/. The Government of Bashkortostan signed an agreement with Jiangsu Province of China. It happened at the fourth meeting of the Round Table of regional Volga Federal District leaders and leaders of upper, middle reaches of the Yangtze River of China in the format of "Volga-Yangtze". According to the press service of the Government RB, on behalf of Bashkortostan the agreement was signed by the First Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Rustem Mardanov.

The Round Table meeting was held by the Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Volga Federal District Mikhail Babich and State Councilor of PRC Yang Jiechi.

"Following last year's meeting of the Round Table in Samara significant results of joint work are seen: contacts between our regions intensified, a number of projects in the trade and economic field and in the field of infrastructure, automotive industry, pharmaceuticals, logistics, agriculture and in production of agricultural machinery were launched. These results demonstrate the growing demand for cooperation format "Volga-Yangtze", its high efficiency", Yang Jiechi stated.

Since the establishment of the "Volga-Yangtze" format, 22 cooperation framework agreements have been signed; four more agreements are almost ready. 104 trade and economic investment projects are under development, 21 of them are implemented or are at the stage of practical implementation.
