Activists of Bashkir Wikipedia will create a non-commercial volunteers partnership

UFA, 6 August 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Alim Faizov/. Activists of Bashkir Wikipedia are planning to create a non-profit organization of volunteers of this online resource. They took this decision at the meeting held yesterday.

According to the activist of Bashkir Wikipedia Alfiya Akbutina, at the meeting the results of the Wiki Sabantuy carried out in Ufa in April this year were summed up and new goals to promote the activity and improve the effectiveness of volunteers were outlined.

"Wiki projects are of great importance for the promotion of knowledge about Bashkortostan, creating an attractive image of the republic that in the future should have a positive impact on its comprehensive prosperity, especially in development of tourism industry. Therefore, it is important to involve as many people as possible, which are able to contribute to the creation of Bashkir Wikipedia articles", Rustam Nuriev, the administrator of the Bashkir Wikipedia said addressing to the audience.
