President of Iran Hassan Rouhani arrived in Ufa

UFA, 9 July 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Alim Faizov/. On July 8, the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Hassan Rouhani arrived in Bashkortostan. At the Ufa airport he was met by the Head of the Republic Rustem Khamitov.

In the capital of Bashkortostan Hassan Rouhani will take part in the meeting of Heads of States of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) with which Iran is working on the rights of a state - observer. The Iranian President is also invited at the meeting of Heads of States and Governments of the BRICS countries, the press service of the Head of Bashkortostan informs.

The volume of foreign trade turnover of Bashkortostan with the Islamic Republic of Iran amounted to $ 281.9 thousand in 2014 and mainly consisted of imports. The maximum trade turnover ($ 53.5 million) was achieved in 2011.

Among products exported from Bashkortostan to Iran are tools for drilling rocks and soils. The main import positions are organic chemical compounds (butylene) and drilling tools.
