President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan arrived in Ufa

UFA, 9 July 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Alim Faizov/. On July 9, the President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan arrived in Bashkortostan.

In Ufa, he was invited at the meeting of Heads of States and Governments of the BRICS countries, as well as the Summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), the press service of the Head of Bashkortostan informs.

Armenia is ranked ninth in the total amount of the republican turnover with the CIS countries with a relative share of 0.3%. The foreign trade turnover of Bashkortostan with Armenia in 2014 amounted to about $ 3 million and mainly consisted of exports.

Industrial machinery and equipment (86%), synthetic rubber (10%), as well as baking soda and soda ash, glass vials, lubricating oils are among the products exported from Bashkortostan. The main import positions are liquefied natural gas tanks made of ferrous metals (74%), furniture (12%), building stones (12%) and other products.

There are 13 joint ventures with participation of the Armenian capital operating in the territory of the republic, engaged in wholesale and retail trade, manufacturing equipment, services, catering, production of cereals, manufacture of paper products for household and sanitary purposes.
