Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif arrived in Ufa

UFA, 9 July 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Alim Faizov/. On July 9, the Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif and his wife arrived in Bashkortostan. At the Ufa airport they were met by the Head of the Republic Rustem Khamitov.

In the capital of Bashkortostan Nawaz Sharif will attend the Summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), with which Pakistan works as an observer-state. Also the President of Pakistan is invited at the meeting of Heads of States and Governments of the BRICS countries, the press service of the Head of Bashkortostan informs.

The foreign trade turnover of Bashkortostan with Pakistan amounted to $ 565.1 thousand in 2014, while 86% of this amount is accounted for exports.

Main items of export are products of the chemical industry. Items of medical equipment, leather and knitted gloves, sheepskin clothes and other goods are among the imports from Pakistan to Bashkortostan.
