Afghan President Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai arrived in Ufa

UFA, 9 July 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Alim Faizov/. On July 9, the President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai arrived in Bashkortostan.

In Ufa, he will attend a meeting of the Council of Heads of States of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), with which Afghanistan works as an observer-state. The Afghanistan President is also invited at the meeting of Heads of State and Governments of the BRICS countries, the press service of the Head of Bashkortostan informs.

The foreign trade turnover of Bashkortostan with Afghanistan was $ 1.9 million in 2014 and mainly consisted of exports. The maximum volume of trade ($ 96.5 million) was achieved in 2012, when our republic delivered to Afghanistan a large shipment of petroleum products.

Gasoline and diesel fuel (95%), ferrous metals and products made of them (3%), dental equipment and medicines are among products exported from Bashkortostan to Afghanistan.

The republic has five joint ventures with participation of the Afghan capital, employed in the manufacture of fabricated metal products, construction, wholesale trade, water transport.
