Bashkortostan athletes won gold and bronze medals at the European Games in Baku

UFA, 25 June 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Elmira Sabirova/. Bashkortostan athletes won gold and bronze medals at the European of Games in Baku. One more gold medal is on the count of the swimmer Polina Yegorova. She won the gold in the backstroke 200 m. This gold became the anniversary, fiftieth award at the first European Games, the Ministry of Youth and Sports RB marks. She was followed by German Maxine Walters and Ukrainian Marina Kolesnikova.

Adelina Zagidullina won another award. Yesterday in Baku Adelina Zagidullina and Anastasia Ivanova competed in individual foil competitions among women.

Our girls overcame easily 1/32 and 1/16 and 1/8 of the competitions. But in the 1/4 two-Bashkir athletes came together in a duel for the semi-finals. Adelina was stronger this time - 13: 9. In the semifinals, Zagidullina lost to Italian Alicia Volpe, which subsequently won the foil tournament. As a result, Adelina took the third place.
