Rustem Khamitov delivered a speech at a BRICS Business Forum panel session at SPIEF

UFA, 19 June 2015. /Bashinform News Agency/. On June 18, as part of 19th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum the Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov delivered a speech at a panel session of the BRICS Business Forum "Economic Cooperation of the BRICS Countries: Opportunities for Growth and Development", the press service of the Head of the Region informs.

Business leaders of the BRICS countries and government officials discussed the broad agenda, including such issues as the current state and prospects of trade activities and investment cooperation within BRICS, ways to stimulate the growth of the economies, formation and strengthening of inter-regional relations, creation of favourable conditions for business. According to participants of the Business Forum, national currencies of the member-states should be a basis of settlements within the BRICS. Also discussion of the initiative on the Development Bank of BRICS establishment was continued.

"Preparations for the Summits entered its final stage. To be honest, the Ufa and the republic are ready to host the Summits. On July 9, the BRICS Summit will start its work. A meeting of heads of states of the SCO countries will be held on July 10. There will be a lot of guests, and I invite everybody to visit Ufa - a very nice, modern, well-designed city. I hope that all guests will feel very comfortable there”, Rustem Khamitov said.

According to the Head of Bashkortostan, "the idea of inter-regional cooperation strengthening should be dominant today, in terms of business development, science, culture, education and social relations".
