Exact date of the meeting of Labour and Employment Ministers of the BRICS countries in Ufa is announced

UFA, 15 June 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Arthur Basyrov/. A meeting of the Ministers of Labour and Employment of the BRICS countries will be held in Ufa on January 25-26 2016. This was announced to reporters by the Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Protection of Russia Sergey Velmyaykin. He took part in the 104th session of the General Conference of the International Labour Organization (ILO) in Geneva. This is informed by the official website of the BRICS Summit.

According to Velmyaykin, transformation of multilateral cooperation to the "full-length mechanism for strategic and current cooperation on key issues of world politics and economy" is a top priority of the Russian Chairmanship of the BRICS. Thus the cooperation will also continue "in matters of finance, economy, social and cultural spheres".

In addition, Sergey Velmyaykin noted that social partners - trade unions, in particular Brazil ones, as well as employers showed strong interest in collaboration. "We have stated that this is a priority on our agenda, and within the program that we offer in Ufa, we will certainly carry out forums with the participation of employers and trade unions there", the official website of the BRICS Summit quotes the Russian Deputy Minister of Labour.
