Bashkortostan delegation took part in Sabantuy in St. Petersburg

UFA, 15 June 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Leila Aralbaeva/. St. Petersburg hosted the traditional "Sabantuy-2015". The event took place in Enkolovo village of Vsevolozhsk district of Leningrad region. It was attended by Acting Governor of the Leningrad region, Alexander Drozdenko. The official delegation of the Republic of Bashkortostan headed by the Deputy Chairman of the State Assembly - Kurultay of the Republic of Bashkortostan Yumabika Ilyasova took part in the opening ceremony of the national holiday.

Ensembles and creative teams of St. Petersburg, Leningrad region, Bashkortostan and Tatarstan showed their performances at the "Sabantuy-2015" Festival.

Creative programs of our republic at Sabantuy were presented by the Mustai Karim National Youth Theatre and Folk Song and Dance Ensemble "Miras". One of the parts of the concert was dedicated to the anniversary year of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. In honour of the Year of Literature in Russia and Bashkortostan verses of the great Bashkir poet Mustai Karim were recited from the stage.

"It was possible to taste national dishes could, take part in sports games and competitions, buy souvenirs at Bashkir yurts and ethnic villages", the head of information-analytical department of the administration of the Soviet district of Ufa city Luisa Gafarova said.
