Ufa will host the 4th Trade Union Forum of BRICS. The event will be held in the House of Trade Unions of Bashkortostan on July 9.

It is expected that the main speakers will be the chairman of the Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Russia Mikhail Shmakov and the Russian Deputy Prime Minister Olga Golodets. During the meeting of the trade union delegation with the heads of states a number of socially significant issues will be discussed. The outcome of the forum will be a Declaration to be submitted to representatives of the BRICS countries.

A city tour and a visit to enterprises of the capital will be organized for participants, the press-centre of the Trade Union Federation of the Republic of Bashkortostan informs.

The first signing of the Declaration of the Trade Union Forum of the BRICS countries took place during the high-level conference on decent work issues, which was held in Moscow under the auspices of the ILO on December 11-12, 2012. The document was signed by heads of the leading trade union centres of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa, which were present at the conference as delegates.

Creating a new global trade union structure, which unites the largest association of workers from the countries occupying 30% of the Earth territory, where 43% of the population live and where 25% of global GDP is produced "will promote dialogue and cooperation between peoples, will give the BRICS social orientation based on the ILO Decent Work Concept", it is said in the declaration.
