Young scientists of Ufa Eye Research Institute received a Skolkovo grant

UFA, 9 June 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Elmira Sabirova/. Young scientists of Ufa Eye Research Institute received a grant from Skolkovo Foundation. The innovative project of Ufa scientists reached the final of the federal competition Startup Village-2015 and was awarded 300 thousand rubles.

The "DAKRIOSTRIM" Project - Drainage for Lacrimal Surgery" by a group of authors (Shamil Kuzbekov, Sergey Kharitonov, Marat Kalanov) won in the semifinals of the "Biomed" in the section "Infection diseases control".

The Skolkovo Foundation, in addition to the grant, awarded all finalists invitations to attend the 4th Moscow International Forum of Innovative Development "Open Innovation-2015", which will be held at VDNKh in Moscow from October 28 to November 1.

The Startup Village Conference was held at the "Skolkovo" innovation centre (Moscow). For two days more than 10 000 people became its participants - representatives of startups from Russia, the CIS and other countries, including more than 700 investors, venture capital funds and development institutions, governments and the media. More than 120 panel discussions, roundtables, mentoring sessions and master classes were carried out at 11 venues. 350 teams took part in the competition for investment attractive projects.

The main purpose of the event is communication of startup founders with successful entrepreneurs, large industrialists, investors, government officials, business angels and experts not only from Russia but also from around the world.
