Residents of Bashkortostan annually purchase 74.5 thousand new cars

UFA, 3 June 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Arina Rakhimkulova/. Residents of Bashkortostan annually purchase on average 74.6 thousand new cars. Experts of the «Autostat» analytical agency conducted a study of the average annual market capacity of new passenger cars in the Russian regions for 2010-2015.

Over the past five years on average 2.24 million cars were sold in the country for a year. It is 16 new cars per 1,000 population. At the same time in different regions the situation with the market capacity is significantly different. Thus, in the Republic of Dagestan on average five new cars a year are accounted for 1000 inhabitants (more than two times lower than the national average), in Moscow the figure is 28 (almost two times higher than the national average).

Analysts ranked the regions on the average market capacity of new passenger cars. Bashkortostan is located in the seventh place in the Top 50. In the republic 18 new cars a year are accounted for 1,000 residents. Analysts pointed out that in the top ten there were regions with a population of over three million people. The second noteworthy point is that the capacity of the car market of the top "ten" is accounted for half of Russia's total.
