Two forest fires were registered during the day in Bashkiria

UFA, 27 May 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Arthur Basyrov/. Two forest fires occurred during the day in Beloretsk region of Bashkortostan. Fire damaged nearly five hectares of forest, the Ministry of Forestry RB informs.

The first ground fire in the forest was detected the day before at 17.50, close to Katayka village. It was eliminated in less than five hours. 16 people and seven vehicles were engaged in the fire extinguishing. The fire damaged 1.5 hectares of forest area.

The signal of the ground forest fire was received the same day at 20 o'clock. As in the first case, the fire was noticed by patrolling, three kilometres from Beloretsk. The fire was liquidated by 8 am today. The fire damaged 3.3 hectares of forest.

According to the agency, currently there are no fires in the territory of the forest fund of Bashkortostan.

From April 25 to May 27, in the territory of the forest fund of the republic 12 forest fires were registered. Six of them occurred due to careless handling of fire, one – due to a lightning discharge, two - from agricultural burnings. The cause of the other three fires is not clear so far. The fire damaged 55.5 hectares of forest area.
