Oktyabrsky town was flooded in Bashkiria

UFA, 21 May 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Arthur Basyrov/. On May 20, in Bashkortostan, in a few hours rain flooded the streets of Oktyabrsky town. The heavy rain paralyzed traffic; water flooded the courtyards and central roads.

According to local residents, the rain began in the city at 12.00 and lasted till about 18.00: "It rained for about five hours. It was a sheeting rain. As a result, the whole town was flooded. The central street of the city was flooded completely. Several cars were also under water. Beside it was hailing".

As an eyewitness told the Bashinform agency the utilities services of the city responded promptly. Serious damage was not inflicted. Currently the rain stopped in the town of Oktyabrsky and the situation returned to normal.
