Volleyball players of Bashkir Agrarian University won the national student competitions

UFA, 15 May 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Evgeniya Syutkina, Airat Khasanov/. Volleyball players of Bashkir State Agrarian University (BSAU) managed by the head coach Vitaly Cherkasov became winners of All-Russian Students Competitions held in St. Petersburg from May 7 to 14.

This season more than 100 teams from federal districts competed for the title of the strongest student team. The team of the Bashkir State Agrarian University won the competitions in the Volga Federal District, which took place in Samara in April 2015.

Ten teams from St. Petersburg, Moscow, Dagestan, Smolensk, Barnaul, Adygeya, Krasnodar, Ufa and Vologda were qualified for the final part of the competitions. The BSAU team was in the group with students from Dagestan State University, Vologda State University, Moscow Road Institute, Bauman Moscow State Technical University. Having passed the group stage, the BSAU students reached the final with the Smolensk State Academy of Physical Culture and Sports, where the Bashkir students won with the score 3: 1.

It is the fifth victory in the Russian Students Championship for BSAU students for the last six years. Only last year they lost in the final bout to students from Volga Region Academy of Physical Culture from Kazan.

This high result was achieved due to systematic work in the field of student sports at Agrarian University, and the interaction with the main volleyball team of the Republic of Bashkortostan VC "Ural".
