Salavat Yulaev Square will be turned into an international press centre during the Ufa Summits

UFA, 12 May 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Arthur Basyrov/. In Ufa in Salavat Yulaev Square a construction of the International Press Centre was begun, where the work of 1000 journalists accredited to work at the SCO and BRICS Summits will be concentrated. The press centre will occupy an area of 8.5 thousand sq m, "Ufa-2015" SCO BRICS Office Group" informs.

Easy-to-assemble tent structures that do not require a foundation are chosen for the construction of the press centre. It will be divided into several functional areas: the pavilions of the media and the briefing rooms. There will be also an "Ufa" pavilion, where all journalists will be able to receive full information about the city of Ufa, industrial, investment and economic potential of the capital of Bashkortostan.

"Construction of the international press centre is conducted in accordance with the established practices and format of the events, which are held by the country presiding in the Summits. We apologize city residents for the inconvenience and ask them to treat with understanding the forced measures", the director of ANO "Ufa-2015" SCO BRICS Office Group" Nikolay Fadeev said.

It is planned to dismantle structures by 30 of July.
