Three players of HC Salavat Yulaev will compete at the World Championships 2015 in Czech Republic

UFA, 01 May 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Dmitry Slezin/. On the Day of Spring and Labour Day on May 1, the team of Russia starts to compete at the World Hockey Championship. The current world champion will defend its title in the Czech Ostrava (group stage). Another group will play in Prague.

This time there are no representatives of HC Salavat Yulaev (Ufa) as part of the Russian team. But three players compete for the other teams. Thus, the goaltender Vitaly Koval is in the ranks of the national team of Belarus.

Teemu Hartikainen and Antti Pilstrem defend the colours of the Finnish national team. Both of these teams are rivals of Russians in the group stage. Our team plays versus Belarus on the day of the 70th anniversary of the Victory, and versus the Finns – on the last day of the group stage on May 12.

Our team starts the World Cup 2015 with a game against the national team of Norway on May 1 at 21:15 MSK (broadcast on "Russia-2" TV channel). On the same day, Finland will fight with the United States, on May 2 Belarus will play against Slovenia.
