TV takes the leading place among the media in Bashkortostan

UFA, 30 April 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Rozaliya Valeeva/. In Bashkortostan, among the mass information sources TV takes the leading place - about 92.4 percent. This is according to the poll conducted by the Agency for Press and Media in 2014. The findings were presented at the enlarged meeting of the board of the Agency for Press and Mass Media on April 29.

The Internet occupies the second place (41.2 percent). A quarter of respondents among the main sources of information named print media (24.5 percent) in the republic.

19.3 percent of respondents receive information about various events through the radio. Among this group of respondents a predominance of rural residents (27.1 percent) is observed.

As for the television coverage, in Bashkortostan the local content is formed by two broadcasting companies – SUE TV and Radio Company "BST" RB and FSUE TV and Radio Company "Bashkortostan".

According to sociological research, "BST" is the second most popular, behind only the federal First Channel. Peoplemetering studies indicate stable share of BST TV viewing: in 2010 it was less than two percent, in 2011 reached three percent and since then remains at a stable level. According to TNS Russia, BST News is rated among the top three in the capital of the republic, and the top four - in Russia.
