Ufa hosts the 3rd Congress of the Assembly of Peoples of Bashkortostan

UFA, 28 April 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Gulfiya Akulova/. In Ufa the 3rd Congress of the Assembly of the Peoples of Bashkortostan started working in the State Concert Hall "Bashkortostan". It is attended by about 350 delegates from all over the republic. The Head of the Region Rustem Khamitov, President of the State Assembly of Bashkortostan Konstantin Tolkachev, the Chairman of the Assembly of Peoples of the Republic Akhat Mustafin take part in the congress. Among the guests of the Congress there is the Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration on Domestic Policy of Russia Mikhail Belousov, Deputy Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of Russia to the Volga Federal District Oleg Melnichenko, the Deputy Chairman of the Assembly of the Peoples of Russia Nazirzhon Abdulganiyev.

The event is accompanied by the exhibition, where almost all national-cultural centres of Bashkortostan represent their folk art. Visitors are offered books and educational programs.

Reports of the plenary session participants on current topics are scheduled at the forum. In addition, at the congress election of a new Board of the organization will be held - instead of one chairman now will be three with equal rights and responsibilities.

The Assembly of Peoples brings together more than 30 officially registered national cultural societies of the peoples living in the republic. One of its main tasks is to maintain a productive dialogue with the authorities aimed at improving inter-ethnic relations, preservation of peace and harmony in Bashkortostan.
