Occurrence of the situation as in Khakassia will be prevented in Bashkiria - Minister of Forestry of the Republic

UFA, 21 April 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Arthur Basyrov/. In Bashkortostan occurrence of forest fires, such as happened in Khakassia will be prevented. The preventive work is intensified in the region, the Minister of Forestry of the Republic Dinir Ahmedyanov reports.

“At this point in the region drills of our subordinated institutions were conducted in five areas. We try to work together with the leaseholders and the local population in order to prevent such large fires as in Khakassia, as well as to minimize any threat of fires in the forests. We have a positive trend in this direction. The number of fires and areas covered by forest fires in the republic are decreasing compared with 2010. We try to provide localization and fire extinguishing on the first day. We have created a dispatching service, ground and aerial surveillance are conducted,” Dinir Ahmedyanov said.

Large-scale forest fires in Khakassia began on April 12. According to the federal media, more than 1.4 thousand people sought medical treatment, 77 injured are in hospitals. Experts believe that one of the major causes of the spread of fire was uncontrolled grassland fire and strong wind.

In Bashkortostan, the beginning of the fire hazardous season is announced. According to the Ministry of Forestry RB, this is connected with the threat of forest fires due to early loss of snow cover and the establishment of positive temperatures.
