"Marathon of Memory" rally started from USATU
UFA, 21 April 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Elmira Sabirova/. On Monday, April 20, the republican rally "Marathon of Memory" dedicated to the 70th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War started at the square in front of Ufa State Aviation Technical University (USATU).
Participants, the university administration, students and guests gathered at the event, which was held at the monument-aircraft MiG-19.
The Acting Rector USATU Alexander Degtyarev said that the first motor race over the places of military glory in honour of Victory Day was held in 1975. Then the students and teachers of Ufa Aviation Institute drove along the route Ufa - Brest - Ufa and visited 16 cities.
As the press centre of the university reports, in the current rally students and lecturers will visit Sterlitamak, Salavat, Ishimbai, Meleuz and Kumertau.
Balloons of red and white colours soared into the air during the performance of the "Victory Day" song. Students and activists of the university signed the St. George ribbon. The symbol of victory was attached to USATU Banner, and in each city ribbons with signatures of the best students of local schools will be fixed to it.
The organizer of the event is USATU supported by the Ministry of Education and Science, Ministry of Youth and Sports RB within the framework of the Program of student associations activities USATU 2015.
