Women's Union of Bashkortostan honoured women-participants of the Great Patriotic War

UFA, 17 April 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Galiya Nabieva/. In Bashkortostan, Ufa residents - participants of the Great Patriotic War were honoured. Women's Union of the Republic held a celebration within the nationwide campaign "Memory Wave". It was dedicated to the 70th anniversary of Victory and held under the motto "We are worthy of the memory of the Great Victory for the future!".

At the meeting 36 participants of war and workers of the home front came. The Chairman of the Women's Union RB Rashida Sultanov, the Deputy Chairman of the National Assembly of the Republic Yumabika Ilyasova, the deputy of the State Assembly, director of Ufa knitting factory Zuhra Ismagilova, the Chairman of the Republican Committee of Veterans Vladimir Popov congratulated the attendees.

Each participant of the war was presented flowers and gifts from Ufa knitting factory, one of the supermarket chains, the Committee of War Veterans and Military Service of the Republic. A special gift was a concert organized by the students of the Ufa Academy of Arts.
