Disabled man from Ufa went on a single trip on a wheelchair to Sevastopol

UFA, 13 April 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Gulfiya Akulova/. Yesterday in Ufa Victory Park an event was held devoted to a single ride on a wheelchair dedicated to the 70th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. Ildar Galiakbarov, disabled man, the member of the Bashkir republican organization of the Russian Society of Disabled people (VOI) went on a trip of nearly five thousand kilometres.
He intends to reach Sevastopol until May 9 and take part in the Victory Parade in the city-hero. His route will pass through Volgograd, Kerch, Rostov-on-Don and Feodosiya. Regional VOI organizations promised to support and help him with accommodation on the way.
As reported by the Bashkir republican organization VOI, during the first day the traveller rode 77 km. Now he is moving in the direction of Samara.
The disabled man dedicated his ride to the memory of all the dead soldiers. Ildar’s relatives did not return from the war – his grandfather Hayat Yamaletdinov who volunteered for the front in 1941, and his eight brothers.
