Young karatekas from Ufa brought awards from the International Tournament in Turkey

UFA, 9 April 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Gulfiya Akulova/. Ufa national team took part in the I International Karate Tournament among children and adolescents, which was held in the Turkish city of Bursa.

The team under the guidance of coach, the Head of Ufa Karate Federation Albert Tamimdarov included four young athletes - Anastasia Palaeva, Daniel Prokofiev, Dahlia Asadullina, Julia Konyaeva. All of them are members of the "Cobra" sports club.

The tournament was attended by the representatives of Portugal, Kuwait, Palestine, Azerbaijan and Turkey.

Following two days of competition, in the weight category less than 53 kg the first place won the representative of Ufa team, student of high school No.91 Dahlia Asadullina. "Silver" went to Daniel Prokofiev and Anastasia Palaeva in weight categories of 76 kg and 50 kg, respectively.

In the team competition, the places were distributed as follows. The first place won the team of Azerbaijan, the second - the athletes from Palestine. Teams of Kuwait, Portugal and Bashkortostan were on the third step of the podium.

The next year, the tournament organizers intend to gather young karatekas from 50 countries and hold competitions among juniors in other sports, the head of the Committee on Youth and Sports of the city of Bursa Ilhan Satyk said.
