Bashkiria ranked 11th in the rating of Russian regions in foreign media

UFA, 9 April 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Arina Rakhimkulova/. Bashkortostan took the eleventh position in the rating of Russian regions in the foreign media for 2014. The study was conducted by "Smyslographia" analytical agency and the Dow Jones company.

As in the previous year, the Russian regions appear in the foreign media primarily in relation to sporting events (especially football matches of the Premier League), as well as in connection with projects in the energy sector. With respect to our republic, along with the transition of FC "Ufa" to the football top division the media paid attention to the activities of Bashneft company.

The methodology developed by the "Smyslographia" agency includes quantitative and qualitative study of mentions of the subjects of the Russian Federation using materials of information and analytical service Factiva.com in the Top 100 of leading English-language media, including The Wall Street Journal, Dow Jones Newswire, The Economist, The Guardian , Washington Post.
