Foundation for Architectural Monuments Restoration is created in Bashkortostan
UFA, 8 April 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Catherine Sokolova/. In Bashkortostan, a special Foundation for Architectural Monuments Restoration is being established. This initiative was made by the Head of the Republic Rustem Khamitov at a meeting with public leaders held in the beginning of April.
The Head of the Region also gave instructions to intensify efforts on identifying and certifying objects of cultural and historical heritage, not only in Ufa, but also in other cities and municipalities.
In the capital, there are already defined tasks that the new Foundation aims to solve and the experience of other regions is studied, the "Arhzaschita Ufa" public organization reports.
There are more than 800 objects of cultural heritage in Ufa. These are monuments of architecture, town planning, history, art, archeology and city sights. 307 of them are included in the Unified State Register of Russia, the others are identified objects of cultural heritage.
The Foundation for Architectural Monuments Restoration will also control the flow of funds for reconstruction. It is expected that NGO active members will take an active part in this process. In addition, as offered by the Head of the Region, relevant specialists will be prepared at the expense of the Foundation.
