Russian women's team won a strong-willed victory over the home team of the Hockey World Cup 2015 in Sweden

UFA, 2 April 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Dmitry Slezin/. At the World Championships 2015 among women's teams the quarter-finals were held in the Swedish Malmo.

In the first of them the Finnish team won a match versus the team of Switzerland - 3: 0.

In the evening match of the tournament the home team met with Russians, which had three defeats in the group stage. Swede scored at the end of the second period 1: 0. However, the Russian team showed character and due to efforts of Iya Gavrilova and Olga Sosina snatched a victory - 2: 1 in the third period.

Tatiana and Anna Shibanovs from Ufa took part in this match, but did not score any points.

In the semifinals the Russian team will meet with Americans on April 3, 13.00 Moscow time. In the other match for reaching the finals representatives of Canada and Finland will compete.
