Pedestal of Eternal Flame in Victory Park will be repaired

UFA, 2 April 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Elvira Latypova/. The pedestal of Eternal Flame at the monument to the Heroes of the Soviet Union Alexander Matrosov and Minnigali Gubaidullin in Ufa Victory Park will be repaired by "Bashstroyremont" LLC. The company won the electronic auction, proposing to complete the entire scope of work for 3 million 358.2 thousand rubles at the initial price of 4.2 million rubles. In addition to the winner four other companies participated in the tender.

According to the city administration, the works are scheduled to begin on Friday, April 3. The works should be completed in three and a half weeks. During this time, the pedestal with granite slabs will be repaired, a new gas burner and the cup will be installed. The bronze cup will be the star-shaped and made by artistic casting technique.

The Eternal Flame in Ufa Victory Park was lit in 1980 in memory of the solders fallen in the battles of the Great Patriotic War. Since then, the overhaul of the memorial has not been carried out, the City Hall representatives specify.
