2nd Civil Forum of Non-Governmental Organizations began working in Ufa

UFA, 2 April 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Gulfiya Akulova/. On April 2, in Ufa the 2nd Civil Forum of Non-Governmental Organizations of Bashkortostan started working at the State Assembly of the Republic of Bashkortostan. The Forum is attended by the Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov. The Forum is organized by the Public Chamber of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Ministry of Labour and Social Protection RB, Non-Governmental Foundation of the city of Ufa.

The Congress of NGOs will be a multi-format communication platform for consolidation of opinions on the development of civil society in the republic and the participation of non-governmental organizations in the socio-economic development of municipalities. Plenary sessions, breakout sessions, workshops are scheduled for the Forum, as a result of which proposals to increase the level of participation of NGOs in the socio-economic and territorial development of municipalities will be developed.

The Forum is attended by representatives of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation and the Public Chamber of republics, territories and regions of the Volga Federal District, representatives of executive authorities, heads of socially oriented non- governmental organizations, and socially responsible business. They will share the experience of interaction with the executive authorities of the region and the non-profit sector involvement in the competitive selection among the subjects of the Russian Federation for grants to projects of socially oriented non-governmental organizations.

The forum will last for two days, April 2-3.
