Residents of Bashkortostan buy new cars two times less than before

UFA, 30 March 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Arina Rakhimkulova/. In Bashkiria car sales dropped significantly. Moreover, new cars are purchased less willingly than used ones. Bashkortostan took the seventh place in the rating of Russian regions by volume of the new cars market in two months in 2015. Such data are given by the analytical agency "AUTOSTAT". According to statistics, residents of the republic during this period bought 5.5 thousand new cars, which is by 54.9 percent less than for the same period of the last year (12.1 thousand).

In general, the new cars market in Russia for the reporting period reached 174.9 thousand, by 48.5 percent less than the previous year (339.7 thousand). Thus, the development of the automobile market slowed down dramatically.

Experts point out that in almost all regions included in the Top 50 sales of new passenger cars fell compared with the same period last year, ranging from 35 percent (Stavropol Territory) to 58 percent (Sverdlovsk region). More than half of the top 50 regions showed a drop below the market average.
